Okwui Enwezor is a poet, critic and curator. He was born in Nigeria and is now based in Chicago and New York. He has curated a number of exhibitions in Africa as well as in the U.S, for example the Johannesburg biennial 1997 and In-Sight: African Photographers, 1940 - Present, at the Guggenheim Museum in New York. Okwui Enwezor is also the chief editor of the magazine Nka. journal of Contemporary African Art.
